During the Christmas and New Year Holiday, TMII was packed with tourists from the morning.

Tangerang, 27 December 2025 - Thousands of residents of Jakarta and the surrounding areas crowded the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) area on Saturday morning to fill the long Christmas and New Year holiday, or Nataru (National Holidays). Family activities and visits to various attractions began immediately after the park opened and continued through the afternoon. From early morning, visitor numbers increased at several TMII entrances. The majority of visitors came with their families, bringing their children to enjoy the recreational and educational atmosphere of this cultural tourism area.

Several favorite spots, such as regional pavilions, open park areas, and iconic photo spots, were bustling with tourists. Many visitors chose to arrive early to avoid the crowds that typically occur from midday to evening during the long holiday period. One visitor admitted choosing TMII because it's a family-friendly destination. "We rarely have Christmas and New Year holidays, so we took advantage of it to go out with the kids. We came early so it was more comfortable," she said.

TMII management has also taken several precautions to deal with the surge in visitors, from regulating traffic within the area to increasing the number of officers at several strategic points. Visitors are urged to maintain order and cleanliness while in the tourist area. The crowds at TMII are expected to persist for the next few days as the Christmas and New Year holidays continue. TMII has once again become a top tourist destination for residents who want to spend the end-of-year holiday without having to leave town.
