Exploring Space from the City Center: An Educational Experience at the Planetarium

Tangerang, 29 December 2025 - Behind the hustle and bustle of the city, a domed building serves as a gateway for the public to explore the universe. The planetarium is not just a place of entertainment, but an educational space that brings together science, imagination, and curiosity about the universe.

Upon entering the planetarium, visitors are greeted by a dimly lit atmosphere with a giant dome screen displaying thousands of stars. Special projectors visualize the movements of planets, constellations, and astronomical phenomena such as eclipses and meteor showers. This experience makes visitors feel as if they are in outer space, far beyond the boundaries of Earth.

The planetarium also plays an important role as a learning tool, especially for students. Through audio-visual presentations and explanations from guides, complex astronomical concepts can be understood in a simpler and more interesting way. It is not uncommon for students who previously considered science a difficult subject to feel inspired after visiting.

In addition to virtual sky shows, planetariums are usually equipped with interactive exhibition rooms. In these rooms, visitors can learn about the history of space exploration, get to know famous astronomers, and understand telescope and satellite technology. Activities such as discussions, educational film screenings, and celestial observations are also often held to increase public interest in science.

The planetarium proves that learning does not always have to take place in a classroom. With a visual approach and hands-on experience, this place bridges the gap between science and humanity's sense of wonder about the universe. From inside the planetarium dome, visitors are invited to realize that the sky is not the limit, but rather the beginning of endless curiosity.

Sourdough Bread Becoming More Popular, Considered Healthier and More Nutritious

Tangerang, 29 December 2025 - Sourdough bread has become increasingly popular among Indonesians in recent times, especially among foodies and those who lead a healthy lifestyle, in line with the growing trend of consuming naturally fermented bread, which has been widely available in bakeries and artisan cafes for several years now, as it is made through a natural fermentation process without instant yeast.

The popularity of sourdough bread is inseparable from its production process, which uses a natural starter made from fermented flour and water. This process produces a distinctive sour taste and a denser texture than regular bread. In addition, the long fermentation method makes this bread known for being easier to digest.

Sourdough is also considered healthier because the fermentation process can help reduce gluten levels and improve nutrient absorption. This makes sourdough bread an alternative choice for people who are starting to pay attention to their daily diet.

“Sourdough bread is made with natural fermentation, which takes longer but produces a more complex flavor and benefits,” said Laras, who has made sourdough bread. This trend has encouraged many local bakers to start producing sourdough as their flagship product.

Family activities and visits to various attractions began immediately after the park opened and continued through the afternoon. From early morning, visitor numbers increased at several TMII entrances. The majority of visitors came with their families, bringing their children to enjoy the recreational and educational atmosphere of this cultural tourism area.

Several favorite spots, such as regional pavilions, open park areas, and iconic photo spots, were bustling with tourists. The Morning That Changed the Nation's Direction

Tangerang, 20 December 2025 - That morning, August 17, 1945, the air in Jakarta felt different. In a modest house on Jalan Pegangsaan Timur No. 56, a small group of people gathered with their hearts pounding. There was no grand stage or cheering crowds. However, it was from this place that a few short sentences would change the fate of millions of people: Indonesia declared its independence.

The proclamation of Indonesian independence did not happen suddenly. It was the culmination of a long struggle by the Indonesian people against centuries of colonialism. After Japan surrendered to the Allies on August 15, 1945, the nation's leaders saw a golden opportunity to immediately proclaim independence.

A debate ensued between the younger and older generations. The younger generation urged that the proclamation be made as soon as possible without Japanese interference. This tension even culminated in the Rengasdengklok incident, when Soekarno and Mohammad Hatta were taken away by the youth to remove them from Japanese influence and speed up the decision-making process.

After lengthy discussions, the proclamation text was finally drafted in the early hours of August 17, 1945, at Admiral Maeda's house. With simple yet meaningful words, Soekarno read the text of the Proclamation in front of the leaders and citizens who were present. Although it was brief and without much preparation, this moment became a milestone in the establishment of an independent and sovereign Indonesian state.

The Proclamation was not the end of the struggle, but rather the beginning of a long journey for the Indonesian people. Afterwards, the people still had to face military aggression and defend the independence that had been proclaimed with great courage.

Now, decades have passed since that historic morning. However, the spirit of the August 17, 1945 Proclamation lives on in every effort made by the Indonesian people to maintain unity, freedom, and justice. This event is not merely a historical record, but a reminder that independence was born out of courage, unity, and the determination to determine one's own destiny.
